Tamassa is a 45-minute drive (30km) from Mauritius airport and a 75-minute drive from the capital Port Louis. The reservations team will gladly assist you in booking transfers.

What to pack:
Aside from sun lotion, swimwear and your snazziest beach wear, restaurants have a dress code for smart casual in the evening, and if you’re planning to play tennis or use the gym take some. Although there is no particular dress code during the day, guests are asked not to wear uncovered swimming attire in the restaurant during breakfast and lunch time and evening wear is smart casual after 6 pm.

Restaurants:
Show is the main restaurant open for breakfast and dinner in a buffet style, Playa beach restaurant offers a la carte for lunch or dinner, there’s also B-bar lounge by the pool and a burger truck open at lunchtime (super popular with younger family members) so there’s a variety of places to go at meal times. A beach holiday wouldn’t be complete without a daily trip to the ice cream parlour Scoop. All homemade on-site, go for your favourite classic flavour, or choose from the ever-changing lineup of exciting new sorbets and gelato.

Spa:
At the heart of landscape gardens, wrapped in soft hues of greens, Santosha Mindful Wellness blends into the surroundings. Inside you’ll fine 14 double rooms, a Vichy shower treatment room, beauty treatment, hot tub, hammam, sauna, whirlpool and a 12m pool.

Signature Activities:
The Collectable Experiences give you the chance to try something different from the usual holiday activities.
Private Island Sweet Escape: Their private island can be yours for the day. Pack your swimsuit, sunscreen and sunglasses and get ready for a day of sunshine, snorkelling in the Indian Ocean, beach barbecuing and exploring the historic Moorish-style villa that once belonged to the British Governor of Mauritius.
Kid-friendly adventures: Travelling with family opens us up to disconnect a little from, say, your phone and reconnect (a lot) with each other. Not to mention, adventure pretty much always makes for stories to tell. This experience is designed to bring you together. You’ll start with a nature walk at Black River Gorges National Park followed by a picnic lunch by the river, then painting with children from a local NGO on a giant canvas under the trees by the beach, you can cook a traditional Mauritian meal with their chef and enjoy it at the Green Shack and don’t forget to capture the moments on a Polaroid for the family album.
