Best For
Relaxed luxury!

The Low Down

At SINNER expect religious heritage, history, glamour and mystery all mingled together within this unique hotel. SINNER gives its own take on Parisian style and is the first hotel in the Evok Hotel Collection to lay claim to a lifestyle of relaxed luxury. It demonstrates its intense personality by combining luxury hospitality standards with a disruptive identity of someone who loves risk and embraces life on the edge. In line with this vision, designer and architect Tristan Auer was given free rein to create a truly unique and immersive experience, one marked by vivid public spaces, opulent rooms and suites, and a dash of the carefree optimism of the 70s era. The result is colourful, eclectic, vibrant and eccentric but elegant all the same.

The Reasons To Go

  • The hotel has its own sound designer, literary director and art director who have curated the collection of music, books and art work in the hotel
  • Chef Adam Bentalha has designed an ethnic menu for Sinner, a kind of “tribal” food, like that eaten in Kanoun in North Africa.
  • There is a mixology bar with cocktails inspired by Latin mysticism which showcase the best that the cultures and seasons have to offer.
  • Spa by Orveda is a natural, eco-responsible, vegan, unisex brand inspired by Ayurvedic science
  • The bar, with its towering stained-glass windows, is the focal point of Sinner’s social life

The Nitty Gritty

  • Accommodation:
With 43 rooms, the interiors offer a mix of monastic and modern – cassock-clad staff will lead you by lantern down dimly lit halls to your bright bedroom. Spaces are filled with chic objects, original artworks, photogenic nooks, pretty parquet flooring, vintage vinyl turntables and even a yoga mat, found in the wardrobe.
  • Location:
One of the most historic Parisian neighbourhoods, Le Marais is known for its aristocratic past, its rather more debaucherous recent history, and its current status as one of the city’s most artistic and creative areas.
  • Getting there:
The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Paris-Orly airport and 45-minute drive from Charles-de-Gaulle. The closed subway stations are Hotel de Ville, Art et Métiers and Chatelet.
  • What to pack:
Think Parisian chic! Don’t forget to leave some space in your suitcase for shopping!
  • Restaurants:
Shaded by green walls, which run along the whole length of the venue, the Sinner restaurant offers a menu incorporating international flare taking inspiration from street food culture, like the Kanoun technique in North Africa. By drawing inspiration from street food, the desert and South America, the Chef has designed the most exceptional yet accessible fusion menu. Around the table, Peruvian and Brazilian rituals create connection and genuine, sociable simplicity. Patisserie chef Yann Brys also whisks you away to far-off places with his dessert creations infused with the flavours of exotic continents bathed in light.
  • Spa:
The hotel’s most private area is hidden behind a door studded with forged nails. The Spa by Orveda is one of Paris’s best-kept secrets, with its pool inspired by Greek and Roman baths and signature treatments. Whether you are looking for a moment of relaxation or a boost of energy, the treatments will help you restore harmony to your body, mind and spirit.

The Weather

The climate of Paris and the region of Île-de-France is temperate and influenced by the Atlantic Ocean: it is quite cold but not freezing in winter between November to February and pleasantly warm in summer with the warmest months typically being June to September.
