Alongside the hotel’s 91 individually designed bedrooms and suites, there are 24 residential apartments, a collection of 13 individual specialist stores and an airy restaurant and bar with outdoor dining and drinking. Interiors are beautifully designed by Co-owner and Creative Director, Kit Kemp, in her award-winning luxurious, modern British style for which her innovative, exciting mix of colour, pattern, texture and art is world renowned. As well as a sumptuous drawing room, library and orangery, the hotel plays host to Firmdale’s first Soholistic Spa with a fully equipped gym. There is a 190 seat, state-of-the art theatre, several spacious private dining and event rooms and an original 1950s bowling alley imported from Texas, complete with bar, lounge and dance floor. The Best Room For You

  • On the 4th floor there is a large, leafy roof top garden with sweeping views over the London skyline, the garden blooms all year round with seasonal flowers from poppies and lemon verbena to jasmine, creating a wild meadow.
  • Placed to the rear of the garden are two bee hives which are tended to by dedicated bee keeper, Camilla Goddard. The hotel employs eco-friendly methods for bee management and hive maintenance. Bee friendly plants have also been established around the hives.
  • Comfort is always key in a Firmdale bedroom – large, elegant headboards in exciting prints provide a great contrast to beds dressed in crisp white linen, teamed with full-length curtains, some shutters, sofas, chairs and rugs in a mélange of colour and pattern.
  • Keen attention to detail makes each room a pleasure to stay in. Kit has made it comfortable to watch the television from the bed or a comfortable chair, there is always a good reading light by a comfortable chair, a really good desk that you can work at and an end of bed footstool to put on your shoes.

The Apartments are individually designed by Kit Kemp with a light and airy feel, all have floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious king size bedroom, marble bathroom, lounge area and a sleek Boffi kitchen. For extra space and privacy, the apartments are available to let and are fully serviced. Residents have access to 24-hour concierge and room service as well as on-site security.     Ham Yard Restaurant has a seasonal menu, focusing on fresh British produce. The bar offers a carefully created cocktail list, specially selected wines and a menu of delicious small plates. Relax under the shade of the leafy 30-foot oak trees, as you sample dishes from our new menu, including whole roast John Dory with fennel, lemon and vermouth or courgette and oregano risotto with Pecorino and crispy courgette flowers. On the fourth floor of the hotel, there is a large, leafy roof top garden with sweeping views over the London skyline. The garden is also home to two bee hives which are tended to by our dedicated bee keeper, Camilla. There is a lounge area scattered with Whitman benches, upholstered seating and a bar. The Hotel was awarded ‘Best Afternoon Tea’ at the prestigious Harden’s London Restaurant Awards 2016. Over the past year, Ham Yard has pushed forward with its afternoon tea offering by including alternative menus including healthy, reduced sugar, gluten free and vegan options. The tree lined courtyard at Ham Yard Restaurant is often cited as the ultimate spot in London for alfresco dining, whether it’s a long lunch or an evening cocktail. Tucked behind Piccadilly Circus, the courtyard is a hidden oasis in the heart of Soho, centred around a striking bronze sculpture by Tony Cragg.

    Ham Yard Hotel is home to Firmdale’s first SOHOLISTIC spa. A calm white washed space, it offers three treatment rooms including a luxury nail salon, shower and changing room with dressing table; a calming steam room made of white marble with fibre optic lights to create the feel of a night sky; a juice bar, and a relaxation area with a wall of pebbles and shell mirrors creating the feel of the beach. In the corner sits a calming elephant water fountain from India.     The Croc Bowling Alley: The Croc is a spectacular private events area which houses an original 1950s bowling alley, stylish lounge, bar and dance floor. The solid maple bowling lanes have been specially commissioned, making it one of only a few of its kind in the country. Back lit bowling balls, vintage bowling shoes and bowling pin lamps sit perfectly alongside two large Howard Hodgkin artworks and the silver baby grand piano and South African made sofas with paprika tones give a relaxed lounge feel.
    The Ham Yard Theatre: The large 190 seat state-of-the-art theatre has been designed and equipped to the highest professional standards. As well as a top tier balcony, there are two beautifully designed green rooms with mini bar, shower, sofa and desk. The theatre’s Dive Bar is named in honour of a 3ft neon lit lady diver, which hangs on the far wall alongside cascading Kit Kemp designed rickrack wall fabric by De Gournay.
    Shops on your doorstep: 13 individual specialist shops line the tree-filled pedestrian thoroughfare at Ham Yard creating a unique destination shopping precinct. Each brand is a specialist in their field and include My Cup of Tea, Dinosaur Designs and Anabela Chan.
